Darren

Darren a transition year student from Chanel College writes about his experience with Don Bosco Care.

As part of my work experience I went to Don Bosco Care I learned about the charity and I learned about what they do to help young children who can’t live at home.

I came to Don Bosco Care on a Thursday to help out it, was worth coming down because I got to know the staff of Don Bosco Care. The staff are very friendly and helpful. When I first came I went out with Elizabeth to deliver letters to raise money for Don Bosco Care. Also as part of my work experience in Don Bosco Care I went out gardening with Anto, I enjoyed coming to Don Bosco Care for work experience. In the office I organised space and I sent emails to companies about the 5 aside football challenge.

I like working outside the best and l like gardening which involves organising outside, planting flowers and looking after the garden - I learned this when I was out with Anto. I went on to get work experience in a flower shop in Malahide and that was great.
