We are looking for donors to join our Godparents Club, who can provide support for the boys and teenagers in our care and help them get the best start in life.
Godparent to a Boy in Care
We are asking Godparents to commit a donation of €10,000* a year towards the care of one boy at a Don Bosco Care home.
€10,000 is the amount we need to raise per boy to cover the level of specialist care he will need and to provide a loving home-life at one of our Don Bosco Care homes.
We realise that €10,000 is a major donation and a signifcant commitment from one person or organisation. We would therefore also invite groups of family members, colleagues or friends to form a Godparent Group and commit jointly to donate or raise €10,000 to provide care for one boy at Don Bosco Care.

Godparent to a Teenager leaving Care, transitioning through our Outreach Programme
We are also looking for Godparents for our teenagers who are leaving care and moving through our outreach rogramme to become independent young adults. In this programme we have young men and women and we help them to transition to become independent, contributing members of society.
€5,000* is the amount we need to raise per teenager to cover one year of outreach care and ensure that once they leave Don Bosco Care, they have a friend they can rely on who can help them through the journey to independence, education and employment.

If you are an Irish taxpayer, your donation will be worth 31% more to Don Bosco Care, as we can claim back tax on your donation.
* The donation amounts per year are what we need to raise from non-statutory sources per child which will be matched by state funding to provide the care we need to deliver.
