Qualifications

Applicants should have a recognised qualification in Social Care or a related field including:

Youth and Community Work, Social Work, Applied Social Studies, Social Science, Psychology, Child and Adolescent, Psychotherapy.

Desirable

• Experience in working with vulnerable children and young people

• Experience in working within a residential and team environment

• Full clean driving licence

Key Requirements for the Role

• A qualification that will entitle the post holder to Social Care registration with a minimum of three years relevant experience is essential.

• Knowledge of rights and entitlements for aftercare leavers.

• A good understanding of addiction and the physical, mental and emotional side effects.

• Managing challenging behaviours.

• Crisis management prevention and intervention.

• Lone working experience.

• Experience of working with young people with complex needs.

Qualifications

• Applicants should have a Level 7 qualification in Social Care or a related discipline including: Applied Social Studies, Social Science, Youth and community Work, Psychology.

• This is a permanent position and requires the successful completion of a probationary period.

• Regular supervision and team support will be offered to the successful candidate.

• A full clean driving licence is desirable
